Scrapping For Less June Flavor of the Month Blog Hop!

Ahoy, Mateys!
It’s June’s Flavor of the Month Blog Hop!

Ahoy, Mateys! Pirates & Mermaids Be on Ye' Horizon! Scrapping for Less has partnered with Lawn Fawn and Neat&Tangled to bring you a treasure trove of fantastic stamp sets! In this month's kit only!

Two full-size stamps are Lawn Fawn's "Ahoy Matey" "Mermaid for You", plus "So Jelly" shall be your booty! Shiver me Timbers there's more.

If you purchase the Banana Split level, Neat&Tangled joins the crew with the sentiment stamp "Hope Anchors".

But wait...we discovered so many fantastic items we couldn't bare to make them walk the plank so we put them in kits that can be purchased, A LA Carte!

Along with some other treasure to be had if 'ye wish. 'Tis no mirage but alas a booty only comes along once in a Mermoon so grab it while 'ye can!

Now hop on along and see what the team has fished up with the kit so 'ye can be inspired.

For my projects today, I am working with the DELUXE SUNDAE CARD KIT! Here are all the items you get with that kit:

Now, onto my projects!

Collection One

I created Sketch 1. All I did was rotate the side of the banner so I had from to add my Mermaid and sentiment.

I created this card by using the Under The Sea paper collection from Doodlebug, as well as the Let's Be Mermaids stickers from Echo Park. I also used the Purple Polka Dot Ribbon from the collection as well as the Kennedy Grace Sequins.

Collection 2

I created Sketch 4. Once again, all I did was rotate it so I could add a cute banner with the Let's Be Mermaid's Glitter Dots and Let's Be Mermaid stickers!

I also used the SUPER CUTE Lawn Fawn "SO JELLY" stamp set with the Echo Park "Let's Be Mermaid's" Paper collection. The Kennedy Grace Sequins are SOOO pretty in this collection!

On the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment, YOU'RE A STAR which also came in the "SO JELLY" stamp set.

Collection 3

I created Sketch 3 for this card. I did it as it was.

I used the "Party Me Hearty" paper from Imaginisce along with the super cute pirate ship sticker, also from the same Imaginisce line. The cute little anchor is super cute A La Carte die! I die cut it from white card stock, then I took my Versamark ink and dabbed it all over the anchor. I covered it in Silver Embossing Powder and heat set it so it looked like a real anchor! I also embossed the compass looking stamp from Lawn Fawn's "Ahoy, Matey" stamp set. I stamped and colored the little pirate boy which is also from the same stamp set! To finish it off I stamped Ahoy Matey, and I added more Kennedy Grace Sequins.

Collection 4

I created Sketch 2 for this card. I did it as it was.

I used the Scrapberry's The Pirate's Treasure paper collection to create my card based off the sketch. I used the "Ahoy, Matey" stamp set to create the treasure chest-which I finally used the BEAUTIFUL metallic water color that I got from Theresa's store to paint in my treasure in gold! I also add the map sticker from the "Pirate's Gem's" stickers. I also distressed the layers on this card to give it an old time feel. And to finish the card, I once again used the Kennedy Grace Sequins.

I truly hope you liked my projects!

  6. I especially like the last pirate card you created! It's easy to see the pirate card and think to make a little boy's birthday card, but the card you created had an older vibe--perfect for a teen boy or older!!Love it!
